I would like to take this time to personally congratulate your organizational team and formally announce that the Woody’s RV World Half Marathon was a top 10 Finalist (placing 4th overall!) as a Top Road Race of 2009 in Alberta (Provincially Ranked #4) based on direct participant feedback from Alberta’s road running community at large.
The award has been tabulated from a Province-wide survey conducted by Athletics Alberta (from March till November 2009) and allowed for all participants to evaluate each race they competed at with the opportunity to provide direct feedback on their experience. The awards were compiled from all Road Races that are included in a Provincial Road Running Series – the Run Alberta Series. These distinguished races will be given an official Provincial Ranking based on: participant attendance, race course popularity amongst runners, results management & community initiatives.
